PKZM0-2.5/SP Eaton Motor Protective Circuit Breaker

The Moeller PKZM0-2.5/SP is a manual motor protector for three-phase motor and branch-circuit protection, combining adjustable thermal overload and magnetic short-circuit tripping in a single 2.5 A, 3P device. Its thermal adjustment spans 1.6–2.5 A, while the magnetic trip is set at 35 A. The UL/CSA Type E ratings cover 0.5 HP at 230 V and 1 HP at 460 V. This UL-listed, CSA-certified self-protected combination controller incorporates overload, short-circuit, disconnect, and control functions without requiring separate protective devices. It bears the marking “Suitable for group installations” under NEC 430.53 and CEC Rule 28-206, which can reduce control-panel cost and space requirements. The unit may also be paired with contactors for remote operation and serves as a Type E starter for grounded Wye systems above 240 V.
